| Welcome to the Web Site of the Chicago Area Radiation Therapists |
The Chicago Area Radiation Therapists (CART) was started back in 1976 as a non-profit organization by a group of radiation therapists in Chicago Area. They started a society through continuing education, refresher courses in relevant subjects, representation of radiation therapists in other professional organizations, representation in special interest projects-such as development of state licensing laws for all radiation users.
In October of 1977, CART became affiliated with the Illinios State Society of Radiologic Technologists (ISSRT) as District 13. By doing so, we came under the umbrella of American Society of Radiological Technologists (ASRT).
Today, CART is stronger then ever. We offer 4 annual meetings, totaling over 13 CE credits per year. Our speakers range from physicians, physicists, therapists, nurses, social workers, dosimetrists, and other public health officials. |
